saw a particularly excellent horizon on earthquake prediction
it went through the whole gamut of possibilities...

...from the balding chinese zoologist watching the yank with the slightly dodgy website who was surprised his predictions were so acurate,
and including the nasa astrobiologist using his own money to fund research into the piezoelectric effect

it was a pretty thorough report on current thinking.
the professionals pooh-poohed the more esoteric theories of course
but that says more about western science than it does about earthquakes
they were more for earhquakeproofing than prediction
which is all very well in the developed world.

if only these people could triangulate with each other
we might get somewhere
