8 or so bees in my bonnet
[music |felt - goldmine trash]

it's daddy longlegs season here again
and the bats are very happy bunnies indeed.
nothing like a particularly dumb slow moving insect.
it's quite the fish in a barrel scenario.
and a substantial meal too i should expect.

the facts that i feel kind of sorry for them
and they are so easy to catch
(plus the fact that they are tremendously annoying
when they flutter around the vdu)
means i generally set them free (like bees)
go! fly! bash your head at another light! you crazy fool!

i guess that's how they meet girls.

they have no mouth parts apparently.
which is a pretty solid argument against creationism i would suggest.

It's cooler tonight so I saw some in the bathroom... it's always a sign the weather is changing.

Now I know they have no mouth parts I can prove to my little sister that they can't bite her.

My first daddy long leg experience is my cousin holding me down by sitting on my chest, tickling me, and letting them rub about my face.
Do not scream, it's the first place they'd run.

Daddylong legs

I think our garden is a major breeding ground! Dad walked down to the end this am & they were every where. Larva are called leatherjackets(look like shiny brown torpedoes) & this autumn weather brings them to adulthood. Also called cranefly. So there's some more useless info for you!
