8 or so bees in my bonnet
now whilst i am all for people seeing the food production process, especially children, i'm afraid this show is a sanitised version.
a good death. oh yeah.
it's a nazi thing (i'm afraid). the guys that kill our meat lose any kind of empathy for their 'product', this is not some noble sacrifice, this is casual slaughter on a massive scale.
i'm not preachy about it (and lemme tell ya, sometimes it's hard...) but i can't bear to be anything but vegan...i don't know if it's psychological, but my body, when tested, as rare as it come up, totally rejects animal products. it could be that i rarely partake in animal products...so it sends my system into shock...but, IF it's psychological---i'm pretty proud of my brain.
sounds entirely natural to me
I do eat meat and I know its gross, vegans are very cool!
i feel close to this subject because,
years ago, when i was 18, i worked on a kibbutz in israel.
one day i had to work on the chicken farm.
it was horrendous. we had to pack the poor birds in crates,
barely big enough,
3 at a time, by the legs
what scared my the most was that after about half an hour,
i ceased to see the chickens as creatures
but as things to be processed...
(the guys that worked there regularly were blase,
laughing and kicking the stragglers like footballs)
i couldn't face my lunch.
i have been a vegetarian ever since.
