8 or so bees in my bonnet
[music |jj barnes-i ain't gonna do it]

hmmnn. i wonder. do we take their word for it? the words cabal vs cartel spring to mind.
hey, these are multi billion dollar outfits after all.

i'm not sure which scenario is more depressing?

like a nice family settling in to watch chicken run
whilst enjoying a

i'm afraid i'm tempted to believe the latter.
we didn't win the war to have someone tell us
we can't eat sadly farmed chicken.
they were probably watching the other side.

hugh fearnly whittingstall in tears after actually setting up
his own, highly sanitized, broiler chicken shed
(because, unsurprisingly, no real world chicken farm would let cameras
anyway near their operations.)
sat somewhat uncomfortably.

and of course the unsufferably chirpy
jamie oliver didn't help much
knocking out a couple of quick tasty recipes
for deep fried mrm balls
whilst promoting the supermarkets 'slightly more than dirt cheap' chickens.
he was trying to strike a happy medium i guess.
as, i also guess, did the faintly socialist statements of asda and tesco
reserving their right to provide the poor people with cheap meat.

i'm guilty of hypocracy myself
buying eggs
(albeit free range organic)
when the male chicks still go on the big conveyor belt to gasdom.

and dairy. similar thing.

eggs i can give up. dairy is a little more difficult.
that makes me half the vegetarian.
and twice the catfood.
sharks vs whales?
elephants vs lions
killer whales vs humpback whales,
the killer instinct...

coconut milk perhaps?
could possibly work?
(may contain some nuts)

I thought you were vegan. Did you used to be vegan, or am I confusing you with someone else?

lowering demand

i try it from time to time.
and then fail. i live on my own
and i'm not the worlds best cook,
and looking though the things that i do cook. i have two meals that are entirely vegan.

i'm vegan at the moment. it'll probably last two weeks.

i guess i think being a hypocrite is better than nothing.

any scrummy (easy) vegan recipes would be appreciated.
